Repossi x Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris: when fine jewelry enhances the end-of-year celebrations.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its emblematic Serti sur Vide collection, embodying  the avant-garde  of Repossi jewelry , the Maison de la Place Vendôme is teaming up with the most artistic of Parisian Palaces:  Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris.  A partnership that allows the Maison de Haute Joaillerie to reaffirm its deep attachment to modern and contemporary art.

A tribute to the concept of full and empty

Inspired by the Serti sur Vide collection, this unique collaboration brings to life Christmas decorations that capture Repossi’s unique aesthetic: clean, precise lines, enhanced with a touch of randomness. The decorations, available in shades of green and silver – the Maison’s signature colours – embody a celebration of design in all its forms.

A fir tree between tradition and modernity

At the heart of this festive scenography, the balance between tradition and modernity is highlighted: off-center fir trees, deviating from traditional codes, evoke the emblematic collections of Repossi, marked by stacking, asymmetry and the repetition of minimalist lines. An interpretation that disrupts the conventions of a classic Christmas. In the center of the lobby, a majestic, more traditional fir tree pays homage to the “pear” diamond, the signature of Maison Repossi.

When the art of High Jewelry and Pastry intertwine

To extend this artistic collaboration, Maison Repossi and  Yazid Ichemrahen, Pastry Chef  at Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, have created a unique sweet co-creation.

It was in the heart of Place Vendôme that the partnership between Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris and Maison Repossi was born. Inspired by the Serti sur Vide collection, Yazid Ichemrahen transformed his pastry art into a tribute to fine jewelry. During his visit to the Repossi flagship at 6 Place Vendôme – an architectural masterpiece by Rem Koolhaas – the Chef was captivated by the minimalist architecture, the silvery sparkle of the rotating panels and the clean lines. However, it was the pear-cut diamonds, floating gracefully thanks to an invisible setting, that deeply inspired him, becoming the common thread of his pastry interpretation.

With a meticulousness worthy of the greatest jewelers, Yazid Ichemrahen has imagined a sculptural pastry combining visual refinement and exceptional flavors. Named “Repossi pastry”, this creation takes the form of an elegant and refined finger: a delicate vanilla biscuit, a creamy with two rare vanillas from Madagascar and Tahiti from Pierre de Chalais, a crispy almond, and a thin layer of chocolate from La Chocolaterie de l’Opéra. The whole is covered with a silver icing evoking white gold, and decorated with hand-shaped sugar “diamonds”, reminiscent of the jewelry pieces from the historic Repossi workshops. These sweet bursts, seeming to float in zero gravity, reflect the elegance and innovation of the Serti sur Vide collection.

Theatricalized like a jewel in a case,  this ephemeral pastry is an ode to luxury and precision.

Available  from November 20, 2024 to January 6, 2025 , this unique pastry, bearing the unique signature of Yazid Ichemrahen, will be offered at Bar Long  at a price of €52 .

About Repossi

Repossi, a Maison de Haute Joaillerie et de Joaillerie, has been perpetuating the family’s creative heritage for three generations. A family jewelry tradition inherited from the origins of the Maison, in Turin in 1957; where Constantino Repossi, after studying industrial design and a pronounced taste for Art Deco, opened his first boutique. The story continued when his son Alberto gave Repossi an international dimension by settling in Monte Carlo at the end of the 1970s and became official jeweler to the Monegasque crown. From the glamour of the 1980s to the elegance of the Parisian avant-garde where the Maison settled on Place Vendôme in 1986, Repossi is anchored in its time and renews itself, constantly offering a new incarnation of jewelry. Gaia Repossi, his daughter, after him, regenerated the artistic direction of the Maison. Since then, Studio Repossi has continued to reinvent traditional jewelry codes, blending primitive jewelry with modern art and architecture for bold pieces designed to be worn as an “Art à Porter”. Particularly renowned today, its iconic collections play on systems, subtle paradoxes such as full and empty, like Serti sur Vide, recognizable by its floating diamonds, Antifer with its sharp peaks and angles, or Berbere, a repetition of minimalist lines. The timeless creations with resolutely bold and architectural lines push the limits of traditional know-how techniques and position Repossi as the most avant-garde jewelry house on Place Vendôme.
