The Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car and the watch of the same name both reflect the same concept. Aesthetically, mechanically and functionally, they share a common DNA, driven by the spirit of innovation that drives Bugatti and Jacob & Co. in their respective fields of excellence.

While Bugatti ‘s world-renowned engineers were working behind the scenes to write a new chapter for the brand – and redefine the codes of the hyper sports car with the Tourbillon model – the ambition to push the boundaries of fine watchmaking was also taking shape.

Combining their visions, Bugatti and Jacob & Co. have imagined a unique creative process, where automotive design enters into a natural dialogue with the art of watchmaking . In less than 18 months, this synergy between the two houses made it possible to co-develop, design and deliver the Bugatti Tourbillon timepiece – the culmination of an unprecedented creative partnership between a luxury car manufacturer and a fine watchmaking house .

This timeless expertise naturally resonates with the timeless art of watchmaking, through two exceptional creations by Jacob & Co .: the fascinating Bugatti Tourbillon and the sumptuous Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette set with diamonds, true symbols of watchmaking refinement.

The distinctive features of the Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car influenced the entire design of its watch counterpart. The striking appearance of the hyper sports car’s meticulously sculpted dashboard, itself created by the hands of master watchmakers, is faithfully reinterpreted in the exceptional Bugatti Tourbillon watch .

Echoing the mechanical layout of the vehicle’s dashboard, Jacob & Co.’s fastest flying tourbillon ever, which completes a full rotation in 30 seconds, occupies the left side of the dial, while the hour and minute subdial is positioned in the center, evoking the rev counter and speedometer. Positioned to the right, an equally complex dial displays the 80-hour power reserve of the 557-part Calibre JCAM55 movement .

This finely crafted dial also incorporates a secondary hand, dedicated to displaying the power reserve of another exclusive function of the timepiece . Inspired by the avant-garde architecture of Bugatti ‘s V16 engine , the watch features an automaton in the shape of an engine block, made entirely of sapphire crystal. At its heart, 16 titanium pistons are driven by a 22.37mm long single-axis crankshaft – a rare feat in contemporary watchmaking – which, at the push of a button, sets all the pistons in motion in a hypnotic display of precision mechanics.

Evoking the beating heart of design, the case of this Bugatti Tourbillon timepiece echoes the lines of its automotive counterpart. Measuring 52 x 44 mm and 15 mm thick, its design perfectly mimics that of the hyper sports car of the same name, from the rear wing to the windows, including the grille and radiators. The latter are integrated into recesses in the case, covered with a laser-engraved grid pattern, while the sapphire crystals that adorn the middle of the case, whose shape and color recall the vehicle’s side windows, offer a fascinating glimpse of the movement.

From case to movement, the Bugatti Tourbillon creation is designed in the same spirit as the vehicle it is inspired by – a piece of rare preciousness, redefining what watchmaking engineering makes possible, and marked by uncompromising exclusivity. Today, 18 enthusiasts have the chance to acquire an exceptional and beautifully crafted version of this timepiece: the new Bugatti Tourbillon Baguette .

Based on the same holistic design concept and featuring the same 80-hour power reserve as the Bugatti Tourbillon, the Baguette version is distinguished by the use of precious materials – in a unique interpretation. An exceptional example of high jewelry, this remarkable piece is adorned with 17 carats of diamonds, combining the refined luxury of the Tourbillon hyper sports car with the jewelry mastery that is the signature of Jacob & Co.

Its 18-carat white gold case is richly set with 328 diamonds and 18 baguette-cut rubies – thanks to Jacob & Co. ‘s signature invisible setting technique, which guarantees the uninterrupted brilliance of the precious stones . The rubies, arranged to recall the rear lights of the Bugatti Tourbillon, captivate the eye and, like its hyper sports sister, embody the ultimate expression of innovation, precision and luxury.
