Under the leadership of its president, director Vincent Maël Cardona, the jury of the 7th edition of the Best Sound Creation Prize (PRIX DE LA MEILLEURE CRÉATION SONORE 2026), composed of author, composer and performer Barbara PRAVI, conductor Laurent COUSON, sound engineer Jean-Luc PÉART, as well as Janine LANGLOIS-GLANDIER and Christian HUGONNET, founders of the prize, unanimously chose to award the Nepalese director Abinash BIKRAM SHAH for his film “Elephants in the fog”.

In a Nepalese village nestled deep within a forest teeming with wild elephants, Pirati, the matriarch of a Kinnar community, dreams of escaping to live with the man she loves. But when one of her daughters disappears, she must investigate and choose between her desire for freedom and her responsibilities to her community.
