Anantara Siam Bangkok, a leading name in Thailand’s luxury hospitality industry, is embarking on a new chapter following a major renovation costing more than 40 million euros.

Now reimagined, the Anantara Siam reinforces its status as a cultural icon, where every stay becomes a celebration of Thailand’s rich heritage and its legendary sense of hospitality and service.

This comprehensive transformation was guided by a deep respect for the hotel’s Thai heritage, ensuring that many of its decorative elements were preserved. Among them is the magnificent 100-meter mural that adorns the hotel lobby, hand-painted and originally created by the country’s greatest muralist, Paiboon Suwannakudt, to mark the 200th anniversary of the current ruling dynasty; while the 19 panels on the lobby ceiling depict the “Heavens in Thai Thought.”

For generations, these works have welcomed guests with their meticulous depictions of Thai culture and craftsmanship, becoming one of the hotel’s most recognizable hallmarks. As part of the hotel’s restoration, the mural was meticulously preserved, paying a moving tribute to the artist’s legacy, while the Anantara Siam remains deeply committed to the cultural heritage that has always defined the hotel’s identity.

At the heart of this transformation is the complete reinvention of the 335 guest rooms, suites, and villas, carefully redesigned to reflect the venue’s identity. From the newly redesigned Deluxe Rooms to the Siam Suites, the Anantara Suites, and the opulent Presidential Suite, each space has been entirely refurbished to celebrate the local artistic heritage. Warm-toned teak, handcrafted details, and touches of silk come together to create interiors that are both contemporary and distinctly Thai. All bathrooms have also been renovated, featuring marble finishes, custom-made vanity units, optimized lighting, and contemporary amenities.

Among the hotel’s many new features are the Anantara Garden Pool Suites and Villas, which offer a private, lush green space in the heart of Bangkok.

Nestled in lush tropical gardens, they feature private pools, and their indoor and outdoor living spaces allow guests to enjoy the privacy of a private residence while remaining just minutes away from the city’s main shopping, business, and cultural districts.

Another new addition is the “Jim Thompson Explorer Suite,” reimagined as part of a partnership with Thailand’s legendary “Silk King,” Jim Thompson. With its meticulously finished teak floors, walls adorned with painted panels, and a selection of carefully curated artwork, it features an open-concept living and dining area as well as a private library.

Gastronomy has always been one of Anantara Siam’s hallmarks, and the hotel continues to offer one of Bangkok’s most renowned culinary experiences through its nine restaurants and bars.

Guests can discover the authentic flavors of Thailand at Spice Market, contemporary Italian cuisine at Biscotti, refined Japanese cuisine at Shintaro, exceptional cuts of meat at Madison Steak Avenue, vibrant South American cuisine at Guilty Bangkok, and carefully crafted cocktails in a lush, green setting at the Aqua Bar, ranked among the 50 best bars in Asia. Throughout the day, Mocha & Muffins also offers a variety of treats, including freshly baked pastries and exceptional cakes, paired with expertly crafted coffees and artisanal beverages.
Guests can also enjoy Afternoon Tea in the Lobby or relax by the pool at The Garden Terrace with refreshing drinks and a selection of light bites.

Wellness takes center stage with the complete transformation of the multi-award-winning Anantara Spa, where guests can continue to enjoy world-class experiences inspired by traditional Thai healing methods. The Siam Sports Club further reinforces the hotel’s commitment to wellness, featuring a brand-new fitness center equipped with Technogym machines and a Pilates studio, as well as an outdoor area with a Muay Thai boxing ring and a climbing wall.

The transformation extends throughout the entire hotel, while carefully preserving its cultural identity, stories, and authentic Thai traditions, which remain at the heart of every guest experience.
